Current Assignment and Location: Negotiation/Relocation – PennDOT District 1-0 SR0060, Section A02, Mercer County

Summary of Relevant Work Experience:


State Route 0060, Section A02, Wheatfield and Farrell Township and the City of Sharon, PA. The project is to widen, realign and improve intersections for a two mile long state facility, which enters the City of Sharon. There are approximately 140 parcels being acquired in part and the project will displace several business enterprises and a few residential occupants. Duties include negotiating with property owners, plan interpretation and explanation to property owners, residential and commercial relocation assistance services, preparation of settlement documents, title services, property management facilitation and condemnation support.

State Route 0006, Sections A2 and A3, Port Allegany, McKean County: project involves the construction of two new bridges over the Allegheny River. There are approximately 30 partial take claims. Duties include all facets of the acquisition process not limited to: negotiation with property owners, preparation of settlement documents, preparation of the Declaration of Taking Requests, distribution of funds.

State Route 0219, Section C10 in Johnsonburg, PA. The project involves approximately 33 parcels and three relocation claims. Current duties include but aren’t limited to; Negotiation with property owners, providing relocation assistance, preparation of settlement documents, recordation of transfer documents, research and verification of real estate ownership, pursuance of lien releases, data input to computerized right-of-way tracking system, providing assistance with PUC actions and resolution.

Central Avenue Bridge, Located in Hamilton Township, McKean County. This was a bridge replacement that involved the partial acquisition of five parcels. All claims were negotiated with property owners to finalize all five claims in a month and a half’s time. Duties included: initial meetings with property owners, providing explanation of plan impacts to property owners, drafting of settlement documents, distributed funds, when appropriate.

State Route 4034, Section A90, in Erie, PA. Duties included all facets of the acquisition process not limited to: negotiation with property owners, preparation of settlement documents, preparation of Declaration of Taking Requests, disbursement of funds, assistance to PENNDOT Legal Counsel, Securing Right of Entry Documents, and
Conducted negotiations with an institutional facility.


State Route 0219, Section C8, Located in Bradford, PA. Duties included all activity of a claim negotiator. Negotiated with property owners, prepared settlement documents, recorded title transfer deeds, provided assistance to fee appraisers with respect to mineral rights and explained the entitlements. Of the seven claims, each was settled amicably, which enabled PENNDOT to meet a very ambitious letting schedule.

Nagle Bridge, Located in Harborcreek Township, Erie, PA. Successfully negotiated approximately 13 claims, which entailed, conducting reviews of appraisals, preparation of offer letters, drafting settlement documents, obtaining signatures for settlement, processing claims for payment through a local public agency, recorded legal transfer documents.
