G.A.S. Energy

The Co-Generation Project is an undertaking by G.A.S. Energy Technology, Inc. The project is located in German Township, Fayette County, Pennsylvania. G.A.S. Energy has constructed a new waste disposal plant and recycling operation at a location along McClellandtown Road in German Township. Only after they had constructed the plant, did they discover that local zoning regulations would not permit them to connect directly to the electrical service along McClellandtown Road. This forced them to go to an alternate route through a densely populated area to the nearest electrical sub-station which is located approximately one mile from their plant.

Keystone was employed to review all courthouse documents to determine the specific ownership of parcels that may be involved along the proposed utility corridor. Keystone evaluated all documentation and investigated solutions in order to make a recommendation for the most feasible alignment for the power line. Our work involved researching over 30 properties to assist in their decision of a final alignment. In addition to the property ownership research, we will remain available to G.A.S. to perform any evaluations with respect to the acquisition of the required easements and also perform the negotiations with the affected property owners, to acquire the necessary right-of-way.
